Duties and Responsibilities
· Develop and implement strategic plans for CVC’s programs and sectors in line with the organization’s mission, vision, and strategic priorities.
· Provide overall leadership, guidance, and technical support to Sector Managers and program teams.
· Ensure effective coordination, integration, and complementarity among all CVC programs and sectors.
· Review and ensure that all programs, projects, and activities are relevant to CVC’s mission, vision, strategic objectives, and beneficiaries’ needs.
· Identify new program opportunities, partnerships, and potential areas of intervention that contribute to CVC’s growth and sustainability.
· Develop and propose innovative approaches and solutions to improve program quality, efficiency, effectiveness, and impact.
· Oversee the planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of programs and projects to ensure that objectives, outputs, outcomes, and indicators are achieved.
· Conduct regular field visits to monitor the qualitative and quantitative implementation of projects and identify areas requiring corrective action.
· Review program performance, identify challenges and risks, and develop appropriate solutions in coordination with relevant Sector Managers and departments.
· Ensure that programs are implemented within approved budgets, timelines, and available resources.
· Coordinate with Finance, Procurement, Logistics, HR, MEAL, and other relevant departments to ensure the timely and effective delivery of program activities.
· Participate in the development, review, and adjustment of program budgets and ensure that resources are appropriately allocated to achieve program objectives.
· Support the recruitment and selection of qualified program staff in coordination with the Human Resources Department and relevant Sector Managers.
· Monitor and review the performance of Sector Managers and program teams and provide appropriate guidance, feedback, and support.
· Hold regular weekly and monthly coordination meetings with Sector Managers and relevant departments to review progress, challenges, priorities, and action points.
· Ensure effective communication and coordination between CVC management, programs, support departments, field teams, partners, donors, and beneficiaries.
· Maintain effective relationships with donors, partners, beneficiaries, government authorities, and other relevant stakeholders.
· Serve as a key focal point for program-related communication with donors, partners, and external stakeholders, as assigned.
· Lead and/or contribute to the development of project proposals, concept notes, logical frameworks, budgets, and other relevant fundraising documents.
· Identify potential funding opportunities and contribute to resource mobilization and business development efforts.
· Review and proofread proposals, concept notes, narrative reports, donor updates, presentations, and other program-related documents to ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality.
· Ensure that high-quality and timely narrative and program reports are prepared and submitted to donors and relevant stakeholders.
· Ensure that lessons learned, best practices, success stories, and program achievements are documented and shared appropriately.
· Ensure that program data, documentation, and records are properly maintained and available for reporting, monitoring, evaluation, and audit purposes.
· Work closely with the MEAL function to ensure that monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning findings are integrated into program planning and implementation.
· Ensure that program activities comply with CVC policies, procedures, donor requirements, applicable standards, and relevant legal requirements.
· Support the identification and management of programmatic risks and ensure appropriate mitigation measures are implemented.
· Represent CVC in relevant meetings, coordination forums, workshops, conferences, and external events, as assigned by the Executive Director.
· Actively participate in senior management and team meetings and contribute to organizational decision-making.
· Provide regular updates to the Executive Director on program progress, achievements, challenges, risks, funding opportunities, and strategic priorities.
· Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, learning, innovation, and continuous improvement across CVC programs.
· Ensure close collaboration and coordination with all Sector Managers and support departments.
· Perform any other duties related to the position as assigned by the Executive Director.
