Purpose of the Position:
Conduct direct community outreach and mobilization for Makani and Dirasa, support identification and referral of eligible participants, and maintain regular follow-up with children, caregivers and communities.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct field outreach, household/community visits and mobilization activities within assigned geographic areas.
Identify and inform eligible children, adolescents and caregivers about Makani and Dirasa services and registration processes.
Support registration, attendance follow-up, re-engagement and referral of participants in coordination with center, education and data teams.
Maintain accurate daily outreach records and submit timely updates on reached individuals, referrals and follow-up cases.
Communicate respectfully, impartially and consistently with community members using approved program information.
Identify barriers to participation and report community concerns, feedback and emerging needs to the Outreach Officer.
Support community mapping and mobilization for program activities, sessions and other approved events.
Refer safeguarding, child protection or other sensitive concerns immediately through established referral pathways and avoid independently managing protection cases.
Respect confidentiality, safeguarding, PSEA, inclusion and organizational codes of conduct at all times.
Participate in briefings, trainings, coordination meetings and other outreach-related tasks as required.
Other Duties:
The responsibilities listed above are not exhaustive. The post holder may be requested to undertake other relevant duties consistent with the position and operational needs.
Qualifications, Skills and Requirements:
Bachelor Degree from an accredited university
Previous experience in community outreach, volunteering, youth/community work or humanitarian/development activities is preferred.
Good communication and interpersonal skills and ability to engage respectfully with diverse communities.
Ability to maintain simple, accurate records and follow reporting instructions.
Good knowledge of the local community and ability to conduct field visits.
Arabic required; additional language and basic digital skills are assets.
Commitment to safeguarding, child protection, PSEA, confidentiality and non-discrimination.
