Role Description This is a full-time hybrid Video Editor role based in Cairo, Egypt, with the flexibility to work from home part of the time. The Video Editor will be responsible for assembling raw footage, selecting and cutting clips, and creating compelling narratives for a variety of projects, including commercials, social media content, and corporate videos. Daily tasks include applying color grading, adding motion graphics and visual elements, syncing audio, and ensuring final outputs meet brand and technical specifications. The role also involves collaborating with producers, directors, and designers to interpret creative briefs, maintaining organized project files, and delivering edits on schedule. The Video Editor is expected to stay current with industry trends and recommend creative approaches to enhance video quality and audience engagement.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Video Production and Video Editing, with the ability to handle footage from planning through final delivery.
- Proficiency in Video Color Grading and Motion Graphics to enhance visual quality and storytelling impact.
- Experience with Graphics and visual design elements to create cohesive and polished video outputs.
- Advanced knowledge of industry-standard editing and post-production software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, or similar).
- Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects, meet deadlines, and respond constructively to feedback.
- Strong attention to detail, visual storytelling skills, and an understanding of video formats and social media requirements.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional creative teams.
- Relevant education or training in film, media, or a related field is preferred; a portfolio or showreel showcasing recent work is required.
