Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Veterinarian role based at the GRANDPARENT FARMS in Sakaka. The Veterinarian will oversee the health and welfare of poultry flocks, including routine examinations, disease prevention, diagnosis, and treatment. Daily tasks include monitoring flock performance, implementing vaccination and biosecurity programs, conducting laboratory sampling, and maintaining accurate medical and production records. The role involves close collaboration with farm managers and technical staff to optimize breeding performance and reduce morbidity and mortality. The Veterinarian will also support training on animal welfare, hygiene protocols, and regulatory compliance, and participate in reporting and audits related to flock health and farm operations.
Qualifications
* Veterinary degree (DVM or equivalent) with a focus on poultry, avian medicine, or livestock health.
* Experience in poultry medicine or farm animal practice, including disease prevention, diagnosis, and treatment.
* Knowledge of biosecurity, vaccination programs, and flock health management in commercial poultry operations.
* Ability to collect, interpret, and document clinical and production data, and prepare clear reports.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with farm staff, management, and external stakeholders.
* Commitment to animal welfare, hygiene standards, and compliance with relevant veterinary and agricultural regulations.
* Willingness to work on-site in Sakaka and adapt to farm schedules, including weekends or evenings as required.
* Basic proficiency with computer systems and software used for recording veterinary and production information.
