Purpose of the Positions:
• The Trucking Sales Senior Representative is responsible for driving the growth and profitability of road transportation services by developing new business opportunities and strengthening relationships with existing customers across Egypt.
Duties Specific to the Position:
• Identify and develop new trucking sales opportunities and potential customers.
• Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers through upselling and cross-selling.
• Conduct customer visits, sales calls, and meetings to identify transportation requirements and
opportunities.
• Prepare quotations and commercial proposals in coordination with Operations.
• Participate in RFQs, tenders, contract discussions, and commercial negotiations within approved authority
levels.
• Follow up on quotations and maintain an active sales pipeline.
• Ensure commercial opportunities meet targeted profitability and gross profit requirements.
• Coordinate customer requirements commercially with Operations and Customer Service, while operational
execution remains their responsibility.
• Monitor market trends, competitors, trucking rates, and customer needs and share relevant market
intelligence.
• Maintain accurate customer, quotation, and sales activity records.
• Coordinate with Finance regarding customer credit limits, outstanding balances, and collections.
• Follow up with customers on overdue payments and support collection activities.
• Contribute to sales planning and identify opportunities within new customers, sectors, and transportation
lanes.
• Other duties may be assigned.
Business and Sector Knowledge Required by the Position:
• At least 3 years of relevant sales experience within freight forwarding, logistics, or transportation.
• Trucking/road transportation sales experience is preferred.
• Good knowledge of the Egyptian trucking market.
• Existing customer network is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of container types and sizes, Egyptian ports, and trucking pricing/cost structures.
