We are looking for a Software Engineer with strong Rust development experience to join a small, cross-functional team working on a cutting-edge IT project. The role focuses on modern software development, cloud technologies, containerization, automation, and secure solutions within a highly regulated environment.
The position offers a primarily remote working model, with occasional on-site team activities at one of the company’s Swedish offices.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, package, and continuously deploy software solutions using Rust.
- Work closely with multiple business and technical teams to understand requirements and technical interfaces.
- Contribute to the design and development of new solutions from initial concept through production.
- Evaluate and document products and technologies for business use.
- Implement and package software components and solutions.
- Develop automated tests and contribute to establishing and improving QA processes.
- Support FinOps activities and efficient use of cloud resources.
- Participate in agile development, sprint planning, and incremental delivery.
- Share technical knowledge and contribute to competence development within the team.
- Work in accordance with stringent global regulatory and security requirements, including NIST 800-171, NIS2, Cyber Essentials, and other applicable frameworks.
Required Skills & Experience
- 4–8 years of professional software development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Rust.
- Solid understanding of software/application development and modern development practices.
- Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS and/or Azure; GCP is also beneficial.
- Experience with containers and Kubernetes.
- Experience developing applications that operate in cloud/containerized environments.
- Good understanding of infrastructure and platform technologies.
- Experience working in regulated environments, such as financial services, healthcare, or similar industries.
- Strong troubleshooting, debugging, testing, and code-analysis skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a small, cross-functional and agile team.
- Good communication skills in English and Swedish, both written and spoken.
