Role Description The Senior Cybersecurity Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Giza. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust security architectures to protect AMC’s systems, networks, and sensitive data. Daily activities include monitoring security events, analyzing logs, investigating incidents, and coordinating incident response to minimize impact and prevent recurrence. The Senior Cybersecurity Engineer will perform vulnerability assessments, support penetration testing, and drive remediation activities across infrastructure and applications. The role collaborates with IT, operations, and business stakeholders to define security requirements, update policies and standards, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and best practices. The engineer also mentors junior team members, contributes to security awareness initiatives, and supports continuous improvement of AMC’s cybersecurity posture.
Qualifications
- * Candidates should possess strong skills in network and infrastructure security, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, secure configuration, and segmentation.
- Candidates should possess strong skills in security monitoring and incident response, including SIEM tools, log analysis, threat detection, and forensic investigation.
- Candidates should possess strong skills in vulnerability management, including scanning, risk assessment, remediation planning, and coordination with system owners.
- Candidates should possess strong skills in identity and access management, including roles and permissions, privileged access controls, and authentication mechanisms.
- Candidates should possess strong skills in security governance and compliance, including policy development, risk management frameworks, and alignment with relevant regulations and standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degrees or equivalent experience are an advantage.
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, OSCP, or similar are highly beneficial.
- Proven experience in a senior cybersecurity or information security engineering role, preferably within healthcare, financial services, or other regulated industries.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to make sound decisions under pressure and handle sensitive information responsibly.
