About the RoleEVCT is seeking an experienced Sales & Business Development Engineer with a Chemical Engineering background and strong oil and gas industry experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new business, managing strategic accounts and supporting opportunities from initial identification through prequalification, tendering, negotiation and contract award.
This position requires a technically credible and commercially driven professional who can work independently, build relationships with senior stakeholders and represent EVCT effectively across the UAE, Iraq and Syria.
Key Responsibilities
- * Identify and develop oil and gas business opportunities across the UAE, Iraq and Syria.
- Build and manage relationships with NOCs, IOCs, refineries, EPC contractors, service companies and industrial clients.
- Promote oilfield chemicals, refinery chemicals, process solutions and related equipment.
- Manage vendor registration and prequalification processes.
- Monitor tenders, RFQs and upcoming projects.
- Prepare and coordinate technical and commercial proposals with international OEMs and partners.
- Conduct customer meetings, technical presentations, site visits and commercial negotiations.
- Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and provide regular progress reports.
- Coordinate with engineering, operations, finance, logistics and management teams.
- Follow opportunities through to award, delivery and aftermarket support.
Qualifications and Experience
- * Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering is mandatory.
- Minimum five years of relevant sales or business-development experience in the oil and gas industry.
- Strong knowledge of oilfield chemicals, production operations, refineries, process systems or industrial solutions.
- Demonstrated experience managing technical-commercial proposals, tenders and key accounts.
- Existing relationships with oil and gas operators, EPC contractors or government energy companies are highly preferred.
- Experience in the Iraqi, Syrian or wider Middle Eastern oil and gas market is an advantage.
- Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
- Fluency in English and Arabic is required.
- Proficiency in preparing professional proposals, reports and presentations.
- Based in Abu Dhabi or willing to relocate.
- Valid passport and ability to travel frequently to Iraq and Syria are mandatory.
- UAE driving licence is preferred.
