Role Overview
Our client, an EPC contractor working on an ADNOC onshore project, is seeking an experienced Project Engineer with a mechanical engineering background to support site-based project execution.
The role will coordinate engineering and construction activities and support delivery of the assigned project scope in accordance with project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Support coordination and execution of project engineering activities.
- Coordinate with engineering, construction, procurement, QA/QC, HSE and other project functions.
- Review drawings, specifications, technical submittals and engineering documentation as required.
- Support site teams with engineering clarification and resolution of technical issues.
- Monitor progress of assigned project activities against schedules and milestones.
- Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors on technical and project execution matters.
- Support multidisciplinary project and site coordination.
- Ensure activities are carried out in accordance with project specifications and applicable ADNOC requirements.
- Participate in technical reviews and project coordination meetings.
- Support testing, commissioning, handover and technical close-out activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant related engineering discipline.
- 8–10 years of experience as a Project Engineer, with a strong mechanical engineering background.
- Experience within Oil & Gas, EPC or major industrial projects.
- Previous ADNOC project experience is mandatory.
- Experience managing or supporting EPC project execution is preferred.
- Strong understanding of mechanical construction and engineering execution.
- Experience coordinating engineering, construction, vendors and subcontractors.
- Exposure to testing, commissioning and handover activities is advantageous.
Candidate Profile
- The ideal candidate will be a mechanically focused Project Engineer with 8+ years of project execution experience, previous ADNOC exposure and the ability to coordinate effectively across engineering and construction functions in a site environment.
