ABOUT MOTOARK
MotoArk is an AI-driven automotive spare parts marketplace with a European presence in Munich, Germany, currently expanding its commercial operations in the UAE.
We are looking for a hands-on and delivery-focused Platform & AI Engineering Lead to drive the development of the MotoArk platform, working directly with our CTO to deliver new features, AI capabilities and a reliable, high-performing experience for our buyers and sellers.
THE ROLE
This is a hands-on role combining full-stack development, release management, AI engineering and technical delivery leadership.
You will own day-to-day development across the MotoArk buyer marketplace, seller portal and admin portal, shape and deliver our AI and agentic roadmap alongside the CTO, and help coordinate our offshore and agency development partners to ship quality work quickly.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Deliver platform improvements and development activity across the buyer marketplace, seller portal and admin portal.
· Ensure all MotoArk platforms are fully operational, stable and high performing.
· Deliver development changes and new features based on CTO direction and feature requests.
· Manage GitHub repositories, branching, code reviews and release management.
· Oversee AI development strategy and feature design in conjunction with the CTO.
· Design, build and optimise AI and agentic solutions for the MotoArk platform, such as intelligent parts search, part matching, catalogue enrichment and automated support.
· Lead on bug fixing, triage and root-cause resolution across all platforms.
· Manage buyer and seller technical support tickets through to resolution.
· Support the CTO in managing, briefing and quality-assuring offshore and agency development resources.
· Maintain technical documentation, testing standards and deployment processes.
· Monitor platform performance and security, and recommend improvements to the CTO.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
· Proven experience as a full-stack or platform software engineer, ideally on marketplace, e-commerce or SaaS products.
· Strong proficiency in modern web development, including front-end and back-end frameworks, APIs and relational databases.
· Solid experience with Git/GitHub workflows, CI/CD pipelines and release management.
· Hands-on experience building with LLMs and AI tooling, such as LLM APIs, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), agent frameworks and prompt engineering.
· Experience deploying and running applications on cloud platforms, ideally Microsoft Azure.
· Experience directing or reviewing the work of offshore, outsourced or agency developers.
· Strong debugging skills and a calm, structured approach to production issues.
· Proactive and able to work independently without constant supervision.
· Confident explaining technical topics to non-technical colleagues, partners and senior management.
· UAE experience is preferred.
· Automotive, marketplace or e-commerce experience is an advantage but not essential.
LANGUAGES
· Strong written and spoken English is required.
· Arabic is desirable.
