Role Description The Occupational Therapist will provide assessment, intervention, and ongoing support for children and individuals with special educational needs at Alawj Center for Special Education. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting functional and developmental evaluations, creating and implementing individualized treatment plans, and delivering therapy sessions that address fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and school-related activities. The role involves collaborating closely with educators, families, and other professionals to integrate therapeutic goals into classroom and home routines, as well as documenting progress and preparing reports. This is a full-time hybrid role based in Irbid, with primary work at the center and some tasks, such as documentation, planning, and virtual family consultations, conducted from home.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Occupational Therapy and Rehabilitation to assess needs and implement effective treatment plans.
- Candidates should possess foundational knowledge in Medicine and Pediatrics to understand developmental stages and related health conditions.
- Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills to collaborate with families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Relevant academic qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree or higher in Occupational Therapy or a closely related field.
- Valid professional licensure or certification to practice Occupational Therapy, in accordance with local regulations.
- Experience working with children and individuals with special needs in educational or clinical settings is strongly preferred.
- Ability to develop individualized treatment plans, maintain accurate documentation, and use evidence-based intervention approaches.
- Strong organizational skills, adaptability in a hybrid work environment, and commitment to inclusive, person-centered care.
