Role Description The Medical Director is a part-time, hybrid role based in Capital Governorate, Bahrain, with a mix of on-site work and flexible work-from-home arrangements. This role oversees medical strategy and clinical governance for initiatives that intersect health, wellness, and creator-economy activities, ensuring that programming and partnerships adhere to high clinical standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing and advising on health-related content, providing guidance on medical policies and protocols, and collaborating with internal teams and external partners to align offerings with best practices in patient and community health. The Medical Director will coordinate with physicians and subject matter experts, contribute to educational materials, and participate in meetings or events where medical expertise is required. The role also involves monitoring relevant medical developments, supporting risk assessment, and advising on ethical and regulatory considerations related to health-focused projects.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in general Medicine, with demonstrated clinical experience and up-to-date knowledge of evidence-based practice.
- Relevant expertise in Cardiology, Neurology, and Oncology to guide health-related initiatives and inform multidisciplinary decision-making.
- Experience working with physicians and other healthcare professionals, with the ability to lead, collaborate, and build consensus.
- Medical degree (MD or equivalent) and appropriate licensure; board certification in a relevant specialty is an asset.
- Experience in medical leadership or directorship roles, including oversight of clinical programs or health-related content.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex medical concepts clearly to non-medical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with public health, wellness, or digital media environments and interest in the creator economy is beneficial.
