Role Description The Landscape Engineer will be responsible for designing, planning, and supervising the construction and maintenance of outdoor spaces, including gardens, parks, and landscaped areas. Day-to-day tasks include preparing technical drawings and plans, selecting appropriate materials and plant species, coordinating with contractors and site teams, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards. The role involves conducting site inspections, monitoring project progress, resolving on-site issues, and optimizing irrigation, drainage, and structural elements for durability and sustainability. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Doha, Qatar, requiring close collaboration with designers, project managers, and clients to deliver projects on schedule and within budget.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong landscape design and engineering skills, including site planning, grading, and integration of hardscape and softscape elements.
- Candidates should possess proficiency with technical tools such as CAD or similar design software, along with the ability to produce clear drawings, layouts, and specifications.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of irrigation, drainage, and soil systems, as well as familiarity with regional plant species and sustainable landscaping practices.
- Candidates should possess project coordination abilities, including scheduling, resource management, and collaboration with contractors, suppliers, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Candidates should possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with attention to detail and a focus on safety and regulatory compliance.
- Relevant bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture, civil engineering, environmental engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience in landscape engineering or construction projects, particularly in the Middle East region, is an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in Doha, Qatar, communicate effectively in English, and adapt to diverse teams and working conditions.
