For a client, we are currently looking for a General Manager for a Chemicals Company (Paint manufacturing and distribution).
The GM holds overall responsibility for the performance, growth, profitability, and sustainable developmentof the company within the assigned territory. The role owns the full P&L and is accountable for delivering both top-line growth and bottom-line results, while ensuring disciplined execution of the approved business strategy, budget, and operating plan.
As the senior business leader in the territory, the General Manager provides overall leadership to the commercial, operational, and support teams and ensures effective coordination across Sales, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing/Operations where applicable,
R&D/Technical, Quality, and HR. The role is expected to be highly commercially driven, close to customers and the market, and capable of translating regional opportunities into profitable and sustainable growth.

Qualifications:
Minimum 15 years of progressive business experience, including substantial leadership experience in a General Management, Commercial Director, Country Manager, Business Unit Head, or comparable role with meaningful P&L accountability. Experience in paints & coatings, chemicals, building materials, or a related industrial sector is strongly preferred.
Proven commercial track record in driving revenue growth, market development, key accounts, channels, pricing, and profitability.
Previous hands-on experience in the assigned territory/region is required, with strong knowledge of its customers, competitive landscape, commercial practices, and routes to market. Manufacturing and operational experience is a significant advantage.
