Job Location: Riyadh
Job Purpose:
Lead engineering, design coordination, technical review, installation support, testing and commissioning of Fire Alarm System (FAS), Fireman Telephone and PAVA/PA systems, Physical Security and Other ELV systems with primary responsibility for ELV System and interfaces, network architecture, calculations, approvals and integrated testing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead detailed engineering, Project execution and technical coordination of Fire Alarm, PAGA/PAVA, Fireman Telephone and associated ELV systems across all project buildings. Lead FAS engineering covering MFACP/SFACP, network/ring architecture, fire alarm loops, devices, modules, interfaces and communication requirements, including device, loop loading, voltage-drop and battery calculations.
- Develop and review FAS layouts, riser diagrams, device schedules, cable schedules, I/O schedules, panel loading and complete Cause & Effect Matrix. Coordinate FAS interfaces with HVAC, smoke control, fire/smoke dampers, elevators, access control, BMS and other life-safety systems.
- Lead PAGA/PAVA engineering covering zoning, speaker layouts, amplifier loading, redundancy, emergency paging, cable sizing, voltage drop, SPL, audibility, intelligibility and FAS interface. Coordinate Fireman Telephone locations, cabling, control equipment and emergency control-room interfaces.
- Project execution and Coordination of all ELV/ICT systems including CCTV, ACS, IDS, structured cabling, fiber, network and Wi-Fi, ensuring proper integration and coordination with architectural, MEP, electrical, HVAC, BMS, civil and fire protection works.
- Prepare and review technical submittals, shop drawings, calculations, compliance statements and RFIs, and coordinate consultant/client comments and OEM requirements. Support material inspections and verify installation of FAS, PAGA/PAVA, Fireman Telephone and associated ELV systems.
- Lead pre-commissioning, FAT, SAT, functional and integrated testing, including FAS device testing, alarm sequences, Cause & Effect, PAGA/PAVA emergency paging and interfaces with other systems. Lead troubleshooting and closure of commissioning issues.
- Review final as-built drawings, calculations, Cause & Effect, configuration records, test reports, O&M manuals and handover documentation, and provide technical guidance to site engineers, technicians and subcontractors throughout installation, testing and commissioning.
We’re looking for someone who has:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics, Electrical, Fire Protection, Telecommunications, Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum 8 years’ relevant experience in Fire & Life Safety and security systems, with strong expertise in Fire Alarm and PAVA/PAGA systems.
- Strong knowledge of NFPA, SBC, Saudi Civil Defense requirements, FAS calculations, Cause & Effect, and FAS–PAGA integration.
- Experience with CCTV/VMS, Access Control, IDS, barriers, and security system integration.
- Hands-on experience in technical design, AutoCAD, BOQs, shop drawings, technical submittals, testing & commissioning, and site coordination.
- Experience with Milestone, Genetec, Honeywell, or equivalent platforms (Advantage).
- Experience on major projects in Saudi Arabia, including campus, university, utility, infrastructure, healthcare, airport, government, or other multi-building projects (Strongly preferred).
