Role Description
We are looking for a Financial Accountant / Financial Research Analyst to support financial reporting, accounting operations, financial analysis, and research activities. The role involves working with financial data to ensure accurate reporting, identify business trends, evaluate financial performance, and provide insights that support business and investment-related decisions.
Key responsibilities include preparing and reviewing financial statements, maintaining accurate accounting records, performing account reconciliations, and supporting month-end and year-end closing activities. The role also involves analyzing financial data, budgets, forecasts, revenue and cost trends, and preparing reports to support management decision-making.
For financial research activities, responsibilities include conducting research on companies, industries, markets, and financial trends, gathering and validating relevant financial information, analyzing financial performance and key indicators, and preparing research reports and presentations. The role may also support financial modelling, valuation analysis, market monitoring, and the preparation of data-driven recommendations.
The position requires strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and the ability to interpret financial information while maintaining accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with applicable accounting and reporting requirements.
Qualifications
- * Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and financial analysis.
- Knowledge of financial statements, general ledger, reconciliations, budgeting, forecasting, and financial controls.
- Familiarity with financial research, company analysis, industry research, and market data.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or similar financial and data analysis tools.
- Ability to analyze financial information, identify trends, and present findings clearly.
- Familiarity with financial modelling, valuation methods, or accounting software is an advantage.
- Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to organize financial information accurately and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
