Role Overview
We are seeking a Finance & Operations Executive to support a global family office with multi-jurisdictional entities and a diverse investment portfolio spanning private markets, public markets, structured products, and FX.
This is a hands-on execution role, not a supervisory or advisory position. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day financial operations of the office — and must be capable of understanding the underlying transactions, not just processing them.

Key Responsibilities
1 · Payments & Cash Management
- Execute all payments across family office entities, SPVs, global operating entities, and personal accounts as required
- Maintain payment schedules, funding timelines, and cash flow visibility
- Coordinate with banks on transfers, FX-related flows, confirmations, and issue resolution
2 · Accounting & Bookkeeping
- Maintain books across all entities in multiple currencies and jurisdictions
- Perform bank and custodian reconciliations, expense classification, and accruals
- Ensure accounting reflects the true economic substance of each transaction — not just its invoice form
3 · Financial Product-Aware Booking (Core Requirement)
The role requires a working understanding of financial instruments to ensure correct classification, booking, and lifecycle tracking. Coverage includes:
Investment Instruments
- Equity and preferred equity
- Fund capital commitments and drawdowns
- Convertible instruments (notes, SAFEs)
- Distributions vs. return of capital vs. income — correct classification required
Structured Products
- Fixed Coupon Notes (FCNs), Step-down Notes, Bonus/Booster Notes
- Understanding of coupon mechanics, barrier events, and early redemption triggers
- Product lifecycle tracking from issuance through maturity or early exit
FX & Derivatives
- FX spot, forwards, options
- Structured FX products including TARF (Target Redemption Forward) and TARN
- Working knowledge of cashflow vs. notional exposure and realised vs. unrealised outcomes
Expectation: Ability to interpret term sheets and bank statements, correctly classify transactions, and flag unclear or inconsistent treatment.
4 · India Coordination & Compliance Awareness
- Coordinate with Indian accountants, tax advisors, and service providers
- Track filing requirements, documentation needs, and compliance deadlines
- Maintain organised records for all India-related investments and entities
Note: This is not an advisory role – but candidates must have practical familiarity with India's administrative and regulatory environment.
5 · Accounts Payable & Internal Controls
- Maintain invoice and payment tracking systems
- Ensure all payments are properly approved, fully documented, and audit-ready
- Support implementation and ongoing operation of internal controls and approval workflows
6 · Multi-Entity Operational Support
- Liaise with external accountants, auditors, and corporate service providers
- Support audit processes and prepare compliance documentation across jurisdictions
Candidate Profile
Core Requirements [CL input]
- 5+ years of accounting or finance operations experience
- Demonstrated experience managing books across multiple entities and currencies
- High attention to detail — errors in this role have real financial consequences
- Strong process discipline and follow-through
Financial Product Knowledge – Essential
Candidates must demonstrate functional familiarity with:
- Structured notes: FCNs, step-down structures, bonus/booster structures
- FX products: spot, forwards, options, TARF/TARN
- Ability to track product cashflows and lifecycle events, and apply appropriate accounting treatment
This will be assessed. Candidates without demonstrable product knowledge will not progress.
India Experience – Essential
- Experience managing or liaising on India-based investments, entities, or advisors
- Familiarity with India's filing processes, documentation requirements, and regulatory environment
- This is a meaningful differentiator in the selection process

What This Role Is — and Isn't
This is not a pure accounting or bookkeeping role.
It is a controller-level execution role that requires:
- Strong operational discipline and process ownership
- Awareness of financial instruments and their accounting implications
- Ability to work across jurisdictions and complex investment structures without extensive guidance
Selection Process
Shortlisted candidates will complete a case-based assessment covering:
- India filing and compliance scenario
- FCN product booking and lifecycle tracking exercise
- FX transaction classification and reconciliation task
Candidates who pass the assessment will be invited for a structured interview with the principal.
Applications without a strong finance operations background and demonstrable product knowledge will not be considered.
