Role Description
An Engineering Director leads the engineering organization and provides strategic direction for technology development, software engineering, and technical operations. The role is responsible for driving engineering excellence, managing technical teams, and ensuring the successful delivery of scalable and reliable technology solutions aligned with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee engineering teams, managers, and technical leaders.
- Develop and implement engineering strategies aligned with company and product objectives.
- Oversee software development, architecture, infrastructure, and technical operations.
- Ensure the delivery of scalable, secure, reliable, and high-quality technology solutions.
- Establish engineering standards, processes, best practices, and development methodologies.
- Collaborate with product, technology, and business teams to support organizational goals.
- Manage engineering resources, budgets, priorities, and project delivery.
- Recruit, develop, mentor, and support engineering talent and leadership teams.
- Monitor engineering performance, technical risks, quality, and delivery timelines.
- Provide technical leadership, performance reports, and strategic recommendations to senior management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in engineering, software development, technology management, or technical leadership.
- Strong knowledge of software architecture, cloud technologies, development methodologies, and engineering practices.
- Proven experience leading engineering teams and managing complex technical projects.
- Strong leadership, strategic thinking, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, stakeholders, and large-scale technology initiatives.
