Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Drycleaner role based at The St. Regis Doha in Doha, Qatar. The Drycleaner is responsible for cleaning, pressing, and finishing guest garments, staff uniforms, and hotel linens using appropriate dry cleaning equipment and techniques. Daily tasks include sorting items by fabric type and care instructions, treating stains, operating dry cleaning and pressing machines, and ensuring items are returned on time and in excellent condition. The role also involves maintaining a clean and safe work area, following health and safety guidelines, and reporting equipment issues promptly. The Drycleaner will collaborate closely with the laundry and housekeeping teams, maintain accurate records of items processed, and provide courteous service when interacting with guests or other departments.
Qualifications
* Demonstrated experience in dry cleaning or professional laundry operations, including garment care and fabric handling.
* Knowledge of stain removal techniques, safe use of cleaning solvents, and proper operation of dry cleaning and pressing equipment.
* Strong attention to detail, with the ability to inspect garments and linens for stains, damage, and quality of finishing.
* Good time management skills and the ability to work efficiently to meet daily processing targets and guest deadlines.
* Commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards, including safe chemical handling and equipment maintenance practices.
* Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with laundry, housekeeping, and other hotel teams.
* Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift and carry laundry bags or linen bundles, and work in a warm environment.
* Prior experience in a hotel or hospitality laundry setting is an advantage; vocational training in laundry operations or garment care is beneficial.
* Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required by hotel operations.
