Role Description
Flavour Houses is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the finance function and support the company's growth and expansion.
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Cairo, Egypt.
The CFO will be responsible for financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, accounting, treasury, cash flow, costing, internal controls, taxation, audit, financial reporting, and financial governance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
- Provide management with accurate financial analysis and decision support.
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
- Strengthen cash flow, treasury, liquidity, and working capital management.
- Improve receivables, payables, inventory control, and cash conversion.
- Lead manufacturing costing, margin analysis, profitability analysis, and cost control.
- Analyze profitability by product, customer, and business segment.
- Evaluate CAPEX, expansion projects, investments, and new business opportunities.
- Strengthen internal controls, financial policies, approval procedures, and governance.
- Oversee accounting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, and inventory accounting.
- Ensure compliance with Egyptian tax, VAT, accounting, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage relationships with banks, auditors, tax advisors, and financial institutions.
- Oversee banking facilities, letters of credit, guarantees, financing, and foreign currency exposure.
- Support commercial and procurement teams with pricing, margins, contracts, and financial analysis.
- Develop the finance team and build a strong second line of management.
- Improve ERP systems, financial reporting, dashboards, and digital finance processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 12+ years of progressive finance experience, including senior financial leadership experience.
- Minimum 7 years in a senior role such as CFO, Finance Director, Financial Controller, or equivalent.
- Strong finance experience within a manufacturing or industrial company is required.
- Experience in food, FMCG, pharmaceutical, chemical, ingredients, or similar manufacturing sectors is highly preferred.
- Strong experience in manufacturing costing, inventory, budgeting, treasury, cash flow, and working capital.
- Strong knowledge of Egyptian taxation, VAT, accounting standards, and financial regulations.
- Experience dealing with banks, auditors, tax authorities, and external financial institutions.
- Experience with imports, foreign currency exposure, letters of credit, and international supplier transactions is highly preferred.
- Strong ERP and financial reporting experience.
- Strong analytical, commercial, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong command of Arabic and professional English.
- Professional qualifications such as CPA, CMA, ACCA, or equivalent are a strong advantage.
