About the role
Research target markets and companies, then reach out and hold conversations to map who they are, what they buy, and whether there is a fit. This is a research and outreach role — not a closing-sales role.
Key responsibilities
• Research companies, sectors, and opportunities using public sources, directories, and internal lists
• Build and keep clean target lists (company, contact, activity, notes, next step)
• Contact companies by email and phone; introduce the firm and ask structured questions
• Hold introductory calls to understand the company’s work, needs, and decision process
• Capture call notes and feed findings back in a short, usable format
• Track who was contacted, who replied, and what was learned
• Flag relevant partners, vendors, or bid-related leads for the managing director
• Keep research files and shared folders organized and up to date
Requirements
• Fluent written and spoken English — mandatory (calls and emails with US companies)
• Comfortable picking up the phone and talking to companies you do not know
• Strong research habits: find the right company, the right person, and a usable fact
• Clear, concise writing (emails and call summaries)
• Organized, persistent follow-up without being asked twice
• Good Excel and email skills
• Discretion with commercial information
Nice to have
• Experience in research, BD support, sales support, or account coordination
• Familiarity with US companies
