- Diagnose and repair vehicle electrical and electronic systems.
- Inspect and troubleshoot wiring, electrical circuits, fuses, relays, and connectors.
- Repair and replace batteries, alternators, starters, and other electrical components.
- Install and repair vehicle lighting systems, including headlights, taillights, indicators, and interior lights.
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults using diagnostic tools and testing equipment.
- Check and repair air-conditioning electrical components and related wiring.
- Install and repair accessories such as alarms, sensors, cameras, parking sensors, and audio systems.
- Perform computer diagnostics and identify fault codes in modern vehicles.
- Ensure all electrical repairs are completed safely and according to manufacturer specifications.
- Inspect completed work and conduct testing before releasing the vehicle.
- Maintain proper records of repairs, replaced parts, and work performed.
- Coordinate with mechanics and workshop supervisors regarding vehicle faults and required repairs.
- Maintain electrical tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe at all times.
- Follow company safety procedures and workshop policies.
- Report any major electrical faults, additional repair requirements, or safety concerns to the supervisor.
- Provide technical support to other workshop staff when required.
- Perform other related duties assigned by the Garage Supervisor or Management.
Skills
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience as an Auto Electrician in an automotive garage.
- Strong knowledge of automotive electrical systems and wiring.
- Experience in diagnosing and repairing electrical faults.
- Knowledge of battery, alternator, starter motor, fuses, relays, sensors, and lighting systems.
- Ability to use automotive diagnostic tools and electrical testing equipment.
- Experience with AC electrical systems and basic vehicle electronics is preferred.
- Ability to read and understand wiring diagrams.
- Knowledge of different vehicle makes and models.
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical problems accurately and efficiently.
- Good understanding of automotive safety procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid UAE driving license is an advantage.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be physically fit, responsible, punctual, and hardworking.
- Willingness to work flexible hours when required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical/vocational certificate or diploma in Automotive Electrical or a related field.
- UAE/GCC garage experience preferred.
- Experience with modern vehicles, ECU, sensors, diagnostic scanners, and electronic control systems is an advantage.
