Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, and highly committed Arabic teacher to join our
wonderful international school. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging,
challenging and age-appropriate Arabic lessons across the school, while ensuring that students

The successful candidate will also play an important role in overseeing the implementation and
delivery of the Egyptian Ministry of Education Arabic curriculum, ensuring that curriculum

Key Responsibilities:
• Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Arabic lessons that engage, challenge, and inspire
students.
• Teach Arabic across primary and/or secondary year groups, according to the needs of the
school.
• Develop students' competence in Arabic reading, writing, speaking, listening, grammar, and
comprehension.
• Develop students' appreciation and understanding of Arabic literature, language, and culture.
• Ensure effective differentiation to meet the needs of students with different abilities, learning
needs and levels of Arabic proficiency.
• Assess, monitor, and record student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Oversee and support the effective implementation of the Egyptian Ministry of
Education Arabic curriculum across the relevant year groups.
• Ensure curriculum planning, schemes of work, and resources are appropriately aligned with
Egyptian Ministry of Education requirements.
• Monitor curriculum coverage and student progress and identify areas requiring further
development or intervention.
• Support colleagues in understanding and delivering the Egyptian Ministry of Education
Arabic curriculum where appropriate.
• Contribute to the development, review, and evaluation of the school's Arabic curriculum and
assessment practices.
• Ensure effective classroom management and maintain a positive, respectful, and inclusive
learning environment.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, heads of department, and school leadership.
• Communicate professionally with parents and contribute to meetings, school events, and
wider school life.
• Participate fully in professional development and contribute to the school's safeguarding and
student-welfare responsibilities.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
• A bachelor's degree in education with a relevant Arabic/Arabic language specialism,
OR a relevant university degree in Arabic language, Arabic literature, or a related discipline
plus an approved educational diploma/teaching qualification, in accordance with
applicable Egyptian Ministry of Education requirements.
• Minimum 3 years' successful teaching experience, preferably post-qualification.
• Demonstrable experience teaching Arabic across more than one year group/key stage
within a school.
• Strong knowledge of the Arabic language, grammar, literature, and culture.
• Demonstrable experience working with, implementing, and/or overseeing the Egyptian
Ministry of Education Arabic curriculum.
• Experience in curriculum planning, monitoring, and evaluation.
• Excellent classroom management, lesson planning, and assessment skills.
• Strong written and spoken English, with the ability to work effectively within a British
international school environment.
Desirable:
• Experience in a British or international school.
• Experience teaching Arabic within a British international school context.
• Familiarity with the British curriculum, Cambridge, IGCSE, or other international curricula.
• Experience leading curriculum development, moderation, or assessment processes.
• Relevant professional development or international teaching qualifications.
• Experience contributing to curriculum development or whole-school initiatives.
