We are looking for an Accountant to join our Accounting team in Alexandria.
The ideal candidate has strong accounting fundamentals, hands-on experience in financial closing and reporting, and the ability to use technology and AI tools to improve accounting processes and day-to-day efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform monthly closing activities, reconciliations, and accounting adjustments.
- Prepare periodic financial statements and financial reports.
- Prepare financial analyses and ad-hoc reports as required.
- Coordinate with external auditors within the assigned scope.
- Provide financial information and support to operational and management teams.
- Take ownership of assigned accounting activities.
- Proactively contribute to improving accounting processes and controls.
- Use technology and AI tools to improve reporting, analysis, and routine accounting activities.
Requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field from a foreign university or an English-taught program at an Arab university.
- Strong academic performance in accounting subjects.
- Strong written and spoken English.
- Relevant experience in accounting, closing, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite,Zoho, or Odoo.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High learning agility, initiative, and ownership.
- Ability to contribute beyond traditional transactional accounting and support the business with financial insights.
AI & Technology Skills
We are particularly interested in candidates who have practical experience using AI in finance and accounting, including:
- Claude, ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, or similar tools.
- Financial data analysis and variance identification.
- Financial reporting and management presentations.
- Document and contract review.
- Closing and audit support.
- Automation of repetitive accounting and reporting tasks.
- Use of AI Agents or automated workflows.
