Role Description The مهندس رئيس قسم الصيانة الميكانيكية (Head of Mechanical Maintenance Engineering) is a full-time, on-site role based in Cairo. The role is responsible for leading the mechanical maintenance department, planning and supervising preventive and corrective maintenance for production equipment, and ensuring high reliability and availability of all mechanical assets. Daily activities include managing maintenance schedules, coordinating with production and engineering teams, diagnosing equipment issues, and implementing technical solutions that minimize downtime and optimize performance. The role also involves overseeing maintenance documentation, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards, managing spare parts inventory, and guiding and developing the maintenance team through coaching and performance feedback. Collaboration with suppliers and contractors to support maintenance projects and continuous improvement initiatives is a key part of the position.
Qualifications
- * Strong mechanical engineering knowledge, with experience in industrial machinery and rotating equipment maintenance.
- Proficiency in maintenance planning and scheduling, including preventive and predictive maintenance practices.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, with the ability to supervise and develop a multidisciplinary maintenance team.
- Ability to analyze mechanical failures, perform root cause analysis, and implement effective corrective actions.
- Familiarity with maintenance management systems (CMMS) and basic computer skills for reporting and documentation.
- Solid understanding of safety regulations, risk assessment, and safe work practices in an industrial environment.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with production, engineering, and external service providers.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline; advanced technical certifications are an advantage.
- Relevant experience in heavy industry, cement, or building materials manufacturing is highly beneficial.
- Ability to work on-site in Cairo, handle operational demands, and respond to urgent maintenance needs as required.
