The school was founded in 1952. QUT comprises 13 academic colleges and departments. It has 60 undergraduate majors, 18 first-level disciplines authorized to confer master’s degrees with 6 categorical master degrees and 16 professional master’s degree authorizations, 2 first-level disciplines authorized to confer doctoral degrees with 2 centers for post-doctoral studies.
