Jouzour Loubnan Association

Jouzour Loubnan is an NGO established since 2008 (registration number 491) whose mission is to participate in the restoration of Lebanese woodland and promote sustainable reforestation. Jouzour Loubnan is one of the most active associations in the reforestation of Lebanon. To date (2020), Jouzour Loubnan has planted, nurtured, and protected 350,000 native trees across Lebanon. Jouzour Loubnan also focuses on engaging the Lebanese in reforestation by raising awareness on the importance of forests and biodiversity, involving the local communities in the protection and management of our planted forests and encouraging Lebanese residents and the diaspora to support reforestation. Our mission is based on solid scientific research. In partnership with the Faculty of Sciences at the Saint Joseph University, we have created the Biodiversity Conservation Initiative with the main purpose to save Lebanon’s biodiversity by restoring degraded ecosystems and conserving its threatened species.
